چکیده
Seaweed surfaces harbor diverse epibiotic bacterial communities with functions related to morphogenesis, host health, and defense. Among seaweed holobionts, culturable strains can represent innovative sources of bioactive compounds enzymes. The global industrial demand for microbial enzymes is continually growing in order improve certain manufacturing processes new perspectives exploitation. In this regard, the present study focuses on enzymatic production antimicrobial activities bacteria Ulva from Tunisian coast. Culturable associated were isolated molecular identification was realized by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. For each strain, eight investigated: amylase, hemolysis, DNase, cellulase, lecithinase, lipase, gelatinase, chitinase. activity -associated evaluated against seven pathogenic bacteria, Escherichia coli, Vibrio anguillarum, alginoliticus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aeromonas hydrophila, Salmonella typhymurium , Staphylococcus aureus one yeast, Candida albicans . antibiotic resistance determined 15 commonly used antibiotics. phylogenetic analysis revealed that isolates belonged Alphaproteobacteria (3), Gammaproteobacteria (5), Actinobacteria Firmicutes (4) phyllum. majority (66%) produced simultaneously more than enzyme. Hemolysis 46.6% isolates, while DNase 33% strains. On other hand, 13% lipase. No chitinase bacteria. addition, 60% displayed at least strain. All ohnoi resistant These results highlighted occurrence several within have potential uses sector.

متن کاملAntimicrobial Potential of Epiphytic Bacteria Associated With Seaweeds of Little Andaman, India
Seaweeds of the intertidal regions are a rich source of surface associated bacteria and are potential source of antimicrobial molecules. In the present study, 77 epiphytic isolates from eight different algae collected from Little Andaman were enumerated. On testing for their antimicrobial activities against certain pathogens twelve isolates showed positive and six of them showed significant ant...
متن کاملLow densities of epiphytic bacteria from the marine alga Ulva australis inhibit settlement of fouling organisms.
Bacteria that produce inhibitory compounds on the surface of marine algae are thought to contribute to the defense of the host plant against colonization of fouling organisms. However, the number of bacterial cells necessary to defend against fouling on the plant surface is not known. Pseudoalteromonas tunicata and Phaeobacter sp. strain 2.10 (formerly Roseobacter gallaeciensis) are marine bact...
